It is called homeopathy for the soil, and it encourages the plants to flourish.

There is a reason that your bathroom contains no electrical sockets – water is a powerful conductor and has the ability to pick up and be the carrier of every type of frequency, current and charge. This also includes thought. Perhaps the easiest way to give an example of this is to think of the last time that you walked into a room and felt bad vibes. That is the power of thought rippling through and being carried through the water vapour in the air which is all around us. Equally so, you can walk into a room and feel really great immediately. Water is the perfect medium for information and energy.
Let’s take an ancient temple as an example of the ultimate tuning fork for water. Picture one in your mind – I’m thinking of the temples of Tikal in Guatemala, built by the Mayans in 200 AD. The space is designed using symmetry and sacred geometry. This is nature’s mathematical formula to make you feel good; our bodies are made up of the same geometry. As a result, this space creates resonance. Resonance can occur in any system that has a natural frequency and can come in many different forms. Music is the most incredible transmitter of resonance. Think of many chords held by a choir or an organ. All of this creates layers of information for water to pick up on and share with whoever walks into that space.
Put your finger in a glass of water and make it spin. This is the way water likes to move, the same way planets orbit around the sun, centrifugal force. I began to take away excerpts of mind blowing paragraphs of information when I lived and worked on a biodynamic farm in Hertfordshire. I spent six weeks there, on a crash course on biodynamic farming, while living in a caravan perched on the top of a hill. One of the preparations for fertilisation involves stirring rainwater rhythmically for about 40 minutes and spraying on the fields. Stirring is done with small amounts of preparations and at certain rhythms; it is also called homeopathy for the soil, and it encourages the plants to flourish. I became obsessed with trying to create a technique to enliven not only plants, but myself too. Eventually, I was recommended to take a look at the work on Viktor Schaugber, an Austrian forester who had a unique way of looking at water. For example, through his research, I learnt that spring water travels in a vortex throughout its journey, allowing it to become more organised, which in turn creates less surface tension. The water as a result is cleaner and fresher. As a forester he observed water and began to find unique ways to use it to his advantage in his forestry. He created many inventions and ways to improve the structure and integrity of water, many of which could create a great impact if they were implemented today. But his work can be considered esoteric, which is why I stepped away from implementing any of his influence and continued my interests in photography and gardening. However any time I travelled I was sent a reminder by the universe or even from water itself, to create something grounded and practical with it.
When lockdown took place, it felt like a now or never moment to take my dorky water obsession and make something which created that resonance in our homes. I researched materials and finally came to the conclusion that ceramic is the best material to house water, as it naturally contains quartz within it and has been used for centuries to keep water naturally cool and dark. This also allows the water to be protected and pick-up on the frequency of the earth. I like to compare this environment to ourselves as vessels taking off our shoes and socks and walking barefoot in the grass when we reconnect to the earth’s natural frequency. A mould was designed by me and made by a potter in the ceramic hub of Stoke-on-Trent; every part of the water vessel is made in the UK. The vessels are gravity-fed and use a porous ceramic and charcoal filter, which is the best most effective way to remove contaminants, while keeping the natural minerals. The vessel is a visual piece and takes up physical space, which encourages you to slow down and appreciate water. It was very important to not create something which we hide away under a sink. I can’t allow myself to call this a “water business”, I prefer the term water community. We connect and take a moment next to our water cooler, or we take a break after walking for a long distance to our watering hole. I would love the community to grow and grow. My dream is to create public water vending machines where highly charged filtered water is available.
When searching for a tagline, I longed for something that tied together everything we should embrace about water. I wanted us to treat water as we would like to treat ourselves, and allow us to embrace its presence. Treat water better.
